'...have a nice life' - November launch
In June 2005 the Clydesdale Folk club was deeply sadened by the sudden death of stalwart member David Roberts.
The effect on not only on the folk club but the wider Biggar community was profound, as he played such a large part in many organisations, and touched so many peoples lives as a consequence.
In honour of his life with us, particularly as he was a huge fan and supporter of tradition Scottish music, we thought it would be more than fitting to create a music CD in his memory.
Over the last two years we have developed, recorded and in November of this year will produce a double CD album of exclusive performances from local, national and international traditional musical artists.
"Have a Nice Life" will be launched at our last session of the year in the Elphinstone Hotel, Biggar on the 27th November 2008.
This we hope will not only be an evening of great music but an appropriate event to remember our much missed friend David.
